Trauma Therapy

Traumatic events and childhood abuse can stay with the person and stop them from being fully present in their relationships as they are trapped in the past. Trauma therapy can help with healing those memories and trauma.

Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is used to treat patients who have suffered trauma. It has a positive effect on how the brain processes information. Following EMDR sessions, we potentially feel better and the trauma feels less intrusive in the present.

Scientific research has established EMDR to be effective for treating post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other problems caused by trauma.
